SEPIA SATURDAY SCOUTING

This week’s Sepia Saturday prompt is a tribute to the 100th birthday of scouting in the United States.

Scouting was a fun time for a young girl in the 1960's.  I was in the brownies and then the girl scouts.  Every week we would have a meeting at the leaders home and work on badges.

Here is a picture of me in my girl scout uniform.  To bad that it is faded.

Thanks for stopping by for Sepia Saturday Grace

  1. If you have any photo editing software, you can make that photo look better than it was when new! You can even scan it at a larger size, crop it, and make a new print on a Kodak kiosk.

  2. Well at least you have the picture. It would seem it might be worth trying Postcardy’s suggestion.

  3. Yes, a little Photoshop work in a few seconds and that photo would come back to life.

Wish I had a photo of myself wearing the old uniform. I never actually owned one. Mine was on loan from the neighbor.

  4. The photo may be faded but I'm sure your memories aren't.

  5. maybe I will take to a kiosk and see how it turns out. I am a dinosaur as far as that kind of stuff. Thanks for the suggestion and comments.

  6. Faded shmaded -- be glad you have one. I couldn't find any pictures of me in my uniform. Yours brings back memories.

  7. Your photo is precious! I thought the very same thing that Postcardy did ... I use Picasa 3 (it is free) and easy, and it works great for photo editing. Then I save them right to "my pictures" on my hard drive.

Glad to know that your scouting experience was a very rewarding one.

  8. Yes, a little editing with contrast and brightness and that photograph can be brought back to life. Ah, if only it was so easy to turn the clocks back in reality.
